A Lake Wylie mother has been charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor after planning to buy marijuana to smoke with her daughter. The police, who are investigating the situation, allege that the mom purchased marijuana while her 14 year old daughter and son’s girlfriend were present. The police were tipped off by the father of the teen-aged girl.
The mother states that she never actually allowed her daughter to smoke marijuana, but admitted that she was going to let her smoke it at a later time to prevent her from smoking the substance with other peers, outside of the home. The girlfriend of the son claims that she overheard the mother discussing with her daughter experiencing “getting high.” The mother was arrested by the York County Sheriff’s department.
