Police in Iredell County found a large amount of marijuana following a traffic stop for speeding. The traffic stop occurred on I-77 South on May 7th. Police pulled over a U-Haul truck because it was speeding but soon could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Police then begin to search the vehicle.
Inside the truck police found three pounds of British Columbia marijuana. The value of the marijuana is around $30,000. The man is from Pennsylvania. He is now being held in the Iredell County Detention Center. He has been charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
