A 21-year-old man has recently been charged with DWI, which is the third charge the man hasCharlotte DWI Checkpoint Attorneys received since he was 18-years-old.  The most recent charge occurred on March 29th after he was stopped by police for traveling 100 m.p.h. in a 55 m.p.h. zone.  This took place in Pitt County, North Carolina.

The first charge, in this string of DWI charges, took place in May of 2009, after the man lost control of his vehicle and flipped it.  At the time of the accident, the man was reported to have had a .17 B.A.C.  The next DWI took place in October of 2009 just after he graduated from high school.  When he blew into the breath-test, this time it allegedly registered .13.

According to police records, the man has several other charges pending in court including drug and traffic violations.  Further, it is also reported that he has a prior conviction for misdemeanor assault.

If you or a loved one is a repeat DWI offender, the prosecutor of your case will most likely attempt to use that as an aggravating factor while sentencing, especially when the charges fall so closely together.  It is imperative, however, that you have proper representation to navigate you through the legal system.
