Raleigh, North Carolina Police set up two checkpoints around the city to apprehend drivers who are suspected of DWI. The first checkpoint
took place on Saturday, and was located on Capital Boulevard. Sixteen people were arrested while this checkpoint was in operation, and several charges were issued in addition to DWI, such as drug and weapons violations.
The second DWI checkpoint was set-up the following evening, and Raleigh Police arrested twelve people for DWI at this site. Further, other charges including drug violations and related alcohol violations were issued by Raleigh Police and officers from around Wake County.
