A North Carolina woman has been charged with DWI after a fatal collision that occurred in the town of New Bern.  The incident took place when the woman crossed the center line of the road and struck an SUV head on.

Unfortunately, the woman’s young child was seriously injured in the accident, and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.  She was wearing a seat-belt; however the shoulder strap was not fastened properly.  The SUV contained an adult passenger and a 2-year-old boy who were also taken to the hospital for the treatment of their injuries.  The woman has been charged with DWI along with a possibility of additional charges in the future due to the injuries sustained.

Stories such as the one illustrated here occur every single day in North Carolina and throughout the entire country.  It is extremely important that when charges are filed in a criminal or DWI matter, that competent and trustworthy representation can be called.
