A man in Winston-Salem is facing criminal charges after causing a fatal accident late last week. The accident happened on Meadowlark Drive last Thursday around 7:30 pm. The man was driving a pickup truck and crossed the center line. He crashed into a Dodge Neon head-on.
The driver of the victim vehicle had to be taken to the hospital. She died on Sunday because of injuries sustained in the accident. The man who was driving the truck only received minor injuries. He is currently charged with DWI but other charges are pending. This is the 8th vehicle fatality in Winston-Salem this year so far.
