A teenager from Charlotte, NC was killed in a car accident Sunday. The accident happened in the University City area of Charlotte in the early morning hours. It appears the teenager, who was driving the vehicle, lost control which caused the vehicle to slide sideways. The vehicle then ran off the road, crashed into an embankment then crashed into several trees.
The vehicle rolled over several times and eventually the teenage driver was ejected from the vehicle. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt. There was another teenage passenger in the vehicle who was injured but is expected to recover. Police believe the driver was driving too fast and was intoxicated at the time of the accident.
