The driver of a logging truck will face a DWI charge after he hit and killed a young girl. The accident happened in Harrells, NC Tuesday afternoon. A school bus was dropping of a 7 year old girl around 3:30 pm. The school bus had its lights activated while the girl was getting off the bus. The driver struck the girl when she got off the school bus.
The girl was pronounced dead while being transported to the hospital. Police arrested the driver of the logging truck after locating him near Autryville. He is now charged with DWI, involuntary manslaughter, felony hit and run and passing a school bus.
